Should i go to troy university

I told him about what happened to me, and he said in the US a teacher can say that for his students. After this discussion, I felt so bad because he was so rude. I talked to international office, but they said to me we can not help you because mr. Noe is higher than us. It was strange. I respect this university, but I will not recommend anyone to study here because no one can tell you the truth in this university.

Overall, I enjoyed studying with ms. Wood, Ms. This is my experience here. Hopefully, mr. Noe and Cooper will take course about how they can respect international students. I hope you enjoyed reading my experience. I had two issues with professors in Undergraduate. One professor never attended class and decided that I deserved a D in the class when I learned nothing, and when I complained the Dean of the school said he would always side with his colleagues and when I said I would be asking for a refund for the class and I would be taking to to Jack Hawkins, miraculiously my grade was changed to a B because he didn't want me and my classmates to go complain about this issue to his superiors.

The next issue with a professor was one who refused to help, in an education class she refused to give us feedback on lesson plans just an X over the assignment, without telling us anything was wrong or how to fix it. This dean also said she didn't have to give feedback and we are college students and we should be able to figure it out in our first education class. On a program that I knew nothing of. Also, I asked for help never received help and then was told I didn't ask enough for help.

I guess these people expect you to get on your hands and knees and BEG them. Even though its their job. I am so disappointed in the experiences that I had at Troy University. I let the issues with undergrad slide, but the issues in graduate school I cannot I am very disappointed that I spent my money on this university and wasted my time. If you are someone who ask questions do not expect an answer from the professors at this University they are useless.

All the things they said were necessary of the things they hounded me about and failed me because of do not apply in the real world. They also hire employees who have no experience with actual teaching in grade schools in their programs. Student advisors people who observe teacher candidates do not provide effective feedback and just discuss things behind your back.

I would never advise people to attend this university. I have been very successful in my teaching career no thanks to the crap teachers, advisors and administrators at this university , and when people ask where I went to school I just tell them I went to a school in Alabama. Because my mother always said if you have nothing nice to say do not say anything at all. The best experience I had at this University wasn't even at this university, it is when I was able to study abroad.

My Art teacher insist that the midterm does need to be proctored in person and not on proctorU Dominique Kelly. Instead it was a simple college town and the biggest store in the town was a Walmart. I believed that was helpful though because there were less distractions. The course work was not rigorous enough and I do not believe that in your first two years I was ever challenged or encouraged to learn more that was absolutely necessary.

Instead, at Troy they simply want you to be able to memorize and recall information, exams do not test your ability to think only your ability to recall information that you have forced into your head the night before the exam.

Another issue is that your advisors are not really helpful until you get into your degree program but I believe that your advisors should advise you about the course that you should take before you actually dive into your program, because some courses are just unnecessary while other courses would be more beneficial to your intended field of study.

While so far it appears that I havent said too many good things I will say that my professors when I entered my degree program where extremely amazing and they kept an open-door policy. They encouraged outside learning and articles and the importance of staying up to date on current events. My degree program advisor advised me into taking elective courses to have a better grasp on the current political economic climate and just being more educated in all the realms in which political science can impact the world in which we live.

Exams in my degree program were simply not can we recite information that we learned in the class, but can we critically come to conclusions as to why certain theories are impactful and how they are impactful. Troy Universitys program creates political scientist that not only think for themselves but understand how to think for themselves.

They train the next generation on how to learn from other fields and take everything into account, before jumping to conclusions that would do more harm than good. Last but not least, the program teaches how to listen to opinions that differ from your own and appreciate the chance to see the same issue from another perspective, which more people should learn to respect.

Ivonne Jones. Staff is excellent in responding to you in an adequate amount of time. Troy is very flexible with your classes, and the cost is a lot cheaper than other colleges. I recommend Troy university to anyone that wants an education on a flexible schedule at a more affordable price. Maybe its because I do better with online classes or because the instructors had habits of talking about whatever was on their mind and not the subject of the class they were teaching.

I definitely learned more in classes I took online than in the on-campus classes at this school. Overall, decent education and the school is well-respected.
